At BeMore Developmental Support Services Inc., we recognize that high-quality, person-centered services begin with well-trained, compassionate staff. Our training programs are designed to meet and exceed the standards set by the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA), ensuring that all Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to empower individuals with developmental disabilities.

Our training emphasizes inclusion, dignity, health, safety, and self-determination, and is structured to support DSPs from initial onboarding through ongoing professional development.

Acceptable Certificates & Requirements for Caregivers/Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)

At BeMore Developmental Support Services Inc., we are committed to ensuring that all Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and caregivers meet the highest standards of training, safety, and person-centered care. To maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines and provide high-quality services to individuals with developmental disabilities, all prospective employees must present valid certification and documentation in the following required areas:

Certified Medication Technician (CMT)
Required for administering medications in compliance with Maryland regulations.
MANDT System Certification
Emphasizes positive behavior support and de-escalation techniques to ensure safe, respectful interactions.
DDA Training Package
Covers Maryland DDA guidelines, service values, and core care standards.
CPR/AED/First Aid (American Heart Association)
Must be issued by the AHA; ensures emergency response readiness.
Bloodborne Pathogens Training
Covers infection control practices and exposure prevention for workplace safety.
Abuse & Neglect Training
Prepares staff to identify, report, and prevent suspected abuse or neglect.
Individual Planning for DSPs
Teaches the development and implementation of person-centered Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
Promoting Community Integration and Inclusion

Aging and Special Needs of the Elderly
Focuses on supporting aging individuals with developmental disabilities, including health and care needs.
Valid Driver’s License & Driving Ability
All DSPs must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to safely operate a vehicle to support client transportation and community access as needed.
